-First Texas Record as Tetragoneuria cynosura reported by Ferguson (1938)

-nymphs occur in most permanent waters including lakes, ponds, marshes, swamps, slow streams and rivers, can tolerate organic pollution (Dunkle 1989); nymphs in still or slow moving waters (Orr, Honig & Behrstock 1999); in lakes and ponds with submerged and emergent vegetation (Abbott 2005)
